Can I reuse 9 year old H1B visa to work in the US?

I was working for a US tech company on a H1-B visa from Oct 2008 to Jun 2009 when I relocated out of the US. I only used 9 months out of the 6 years. Can I utilize/recapture the time on that visa to work for a new employer now (in 2017)? I read online about recapturing the unused time on a old visa. Thanks.

I dont think you can re use that petition to claim cap exemption as it was valid over 6 Years back and you were on H1 status more than 6 Years back.
