Need Pasport Back : Submitted thru Dropbox

I have appeared H1b interview on Jan 25th and Vo asked me to drop internal project details thru VFS drop box chennai. Accordingly I have submitted on 13th Feb.

Last week I contacted thru mail and got a reply that it is under process. almost 2 months.

Now the problem is, I have Canadian Visa which was issued on 19 Jan before my US interview.

My company forces me to come to canada and i have postponed my journey so far. Now it is beyond my conrol.

1. How to get the passport from Consulate?

2. If i withdraw my passport, will there be any entry on my passport which may prohit me to travel US? (My nature of canadian work is to travel US).

3. What would be the impact on my H1b next time.

I am bit confused.

4. Can I withdraw and how much time it will take again to get the passport after withdrawal.

If i dont get the passport, my current company may drop me from their desk.

Can someone advise me please...

From what I have heard, if there is a need to travel, you can send an email to the consulate and request for the passport back. Your application will be still under process. Once the processing is done they might ask for your passport again for the stamping.

I suggest you call the consulate and talk about your situation directly with the visa officer and ask them a solution. I think they are the right people.

I have send a mail to them but there was no reply.

The telephone number in the website goes in voice and recorded message.
