H1b documents to carry

With all the new regulations and the news circulating around the internet about random documents check in airports and cities. I was wondering what documents can I carry with me that can prove I am in the country legally. I am currently in H1B status, getting my green card hopefully sometime in April. I feels like carrying my passport with me all the time is a little risky... can a picture or a photocopy of my visa and I-94 would be enough?

Sorry if I sound paranoid, but I rather be prepared :/
