I am on my 8th year of H1b. I received a 3 year extension (I-797A) since I have an approved I-140. I want to attend a wedding in the UK in August 2017 and want to get my US visa stamp in Toronto. I got my Canadian visa approved but I'm afraid to leave the country to get my passport stamped given the way the current administration is acting. How have your travel experiences been? Has anyone of you experienced long wait times to get the visa stamp in the Toronto consulate? Has anyone been turned back at the border with an approved stamp? Has anyone experienced smartphone/social media scans at port of entry?
