I am currently working with employer A. I hold an approved h1b petition from employer A. But the receipt number is not disclosed and I don't have any of the related soft copy of the documents apart from the one email in which people mobility team confirmed that my petition has been approved. Now I would like to transfer my h1b petition to a new employer. I know the new petition can be filed by the new employer.
1. But I want to know if it is a smooth process to get the receipt number/ other required docs from employer A? Or do I need to pay the visa cost to employer A to get those details?
2. If it is legal to get the required documents related to h1b from employer A, what are the details that I need to collect from them to apply for h1b petition transfer to new employer b?
