Check if documents are required - H1B visa administrative hold

I was given a 221g during my interview for H-1B in Feb. I was NOT required to submit any documents by the consular officer. My application status has not changed since then. Is there any way to contact the US consulate and ask them if they need additional documents/information?

Also, how would they contact us if they need additional information?
