International Travel on H1B

Hello, Is it recommended not to leave the country at this time? I am on h1b (I also did my undergrad here) working for an h1b INdependent employer and have travel plans next month.

If you have a valid visa, and a valid I797, and latest pay stubs, at time of re entry, I don't see any issue.
