Name Change

hi all,

I have the following query related to name change.

We have already filed a petition for H1B and an H4 for my wife. We have also send a copy our marriage certificate along with other documents.

My wife's name and address has not been changed till now. I want to know is it necessary/required to change her name and address? If we dont change will it be a problem while stamping/interview???

Hi there,

My wife went to the Bombay consulate and fortunately for her she wasnt asked questions about name change, spouse's name in Passport, nor her address in India.

So I think it varies from person to person and also on the VO.
