change of status ( H1 to H4 and back to H1)

Hi,

I am currently working on H1B visa and planning to change the employer and take a break from work. As my husband is also working on H1B, i have heard that i can go for change of status to H4.
My question is, do i need to go back to india for stamping if i change the status again to H1B from H4 ? Could you please provide more clarity on this ?
