H1B consular processing employment terminated and switch employer before Oct 1
Hi
I am currently on F1-OPT until 12/31/2017. My current employer (Company A) filed h1b petition and it has been selected in the lottery. However, I was told a week ago that I will be terminated at the end of Aug (still have 3 months left). Current h1b petition with A is still under reviewed and hope to be approved before Aug.
I was able to secure a position with Company B today and I need help on how I should proceed without losing this valuable H1b selection ticket.
I am confused because people says I can't transfer prior to Oct 1st, but my current job will end before Oct 1st. I do have a new employer now, but I have no idea what to do.
