I am on my 8th year of H1B. My employer has applied for my green card and I have approved I-140. Unfortunately, when I applied for extension at the end of 6th year, my I-140 was not approved. so I got extension till July 12th 2017. I did not visit india after Oct 2014. I didn't have plans to visit initially so I never did the stamping. Now my brother has vacation from June 10th to July 1st and I desperately want to go see them as he is starting work from July 1st and we might not get same vacation time later.
Should I go to India around June 10th, get stamping done and return on July 1st? or its too much of a risk if my visa is not approved in time?
My extension is applied in early Feb 2017 and is still pending.
