Job shift with approved I-140

Hi friends,

I'm currently in my 5th year in US under H1B. I have got my 140 approved 10 months back. Being on the verge of max out - i have h1b visa till Dec 2018. Want to know if i do a job shift now - will it affect my 140 status. Can the new employer use the approved 140 for applying h1b extension. Or they have to redo the whole perm process again. Please advise.. any help is appreciated.

Yes they can extend H1 on the basis of prior employer's approved I140. I do hope you have a copy of the I140 approval notice.

Yes i do have the printed copy of I140 - not the original. Thanks for your response..
