Working on expired EAD while waiting to hear about H1B? - Allowed or not?

Hi

My STEM_OPT EAD is expiring on 14th June. My employer hasn't received any information about my H1B yet and we are 95% sure that it may have not got picked in lottery. I was wondering if I can continue working till we get my application packet returned or would 14th be my last date?
