H1B Visa Extension
Hello everyone,
My company has currently applied for my H1B extension. I work as a Design Engineer in CNH Industrial which manufactures Construction & Agriculture equipment. My qualifications are B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) from India and M.S. (Industrial Engineering) from US. I worked in my company for 2 years on OPT and 3 years on H1B as a Design Engineer. The HR is now saying that I have to go into a field in which I have a Masters Degree (not design engineering) for them to be able to sponsor me a green card in future. Does this sounds right? Or it sounds like they are just discouraging me to continue within design engineering. Any feedback will be really helpful.
