time restriction on US entry after H1B stamping

Hello,
IS there any rule which says that once you get the H1B stamped from India you cannot enter US more than 10 days prior to the start of your employment date?

My employment starts on 1st July 2006 on H1B. Can I enter US before 20th june 2006 or is that not allowed?

Yes you cannot enter before June 20 2006 as per your H1 start date.
