H1B or OPT?

I am finishing my MBA (a few weeks left).
So my Visa situation is:

1) requested OPT that will receive by the end of august (estimated). Starting date: Sept 1st
2) old H1B (valid till end of 2018 + 3 additional years): no cap exempt

My question is:
I think I will receive a job offer in 2-3 weeks. In my case, what visa should I use to start working?
In other words, which one (Opt or H1b) is more convinient for me?
I was thinking to get omboarded with Opt and then switch back to my H1B, is this a smart move?

Yes you can join on OPT/EAD and then plan to move to H1.

Isn't it convinient in my case to apply directly with H1B?
How soon can I do the OPT>H1B change?
