Joining new college while H1b pending

My H1B got picked this year and I am yet to receive any update. Meanwhile, my OPT has already ended last month and right now I am on Cap-Gap till September. Considering the worst case scenario that my H1B wouldn't get approved, I took admission into a college that starts this month end. My question to you fellow mates is, if I join this college this month, would it anyhow effect my H1B application ?

I am not sure I understand your question. Do you mean if I have already asked my old school to transfer my sevis to my new school? Then, No.
