My wife was recently laid off from her job 2 weeks back. She was on an H1b visa, when she was let go.
She managed to get another job recently and the company is about to file labor( Premium processing is suspended for now so we wont know the outcome of the H1b transfer immediately). We are worried about the outcome of this transfer as there would have been a 2-3 week gap when the company will file for the h1b transfer next week.
With the current status would you recommend that I file for her H4 transfer now or wait for the H1B transfer results to come through. If i also file for H4 COS right now, which visa status will take precedence over the other. what will happen if the H4 visa gets approved earlier or later than the H1b?
