HDFC receipt is lost Pl suggest

Hi All,
I have lost the receipt issued with Barcode by HDFC bank, and I have a scheduled appointment ith Chennai Consulate on May 10th , wrote an email to vfs but no response, Some one please suggest me now what to do ...

Unfortunately I had the same issue 4 months back. VFS told me that they cannot allow entry without original reciept (duplicate is also not allowed). Only option is to pay the fees the again, and take fresh appointment.

I tried to contact US Consulate through phone/ email but got no response. I had to cancel my India trip.

You can try following options but I'm not sure it will work -
- If you know somebody in US consulate, try to contact them.
- Contact local congressman (your county representative) and see if they can somehow intervene.

Hi,

Better you take new HDFC Recipt and carry along with you to Consulate on same date of your appointment,explain the reason behind of carrying new recipt........Sometime this can be considered.....I wish you all the best....

If u have lost HDFC receipt u can pay the amt again and get a new one and attend the interview on the same sate u fixed appoinment...even i have lost the same and confirmed it from VFS.not to worry

Don't worry, you don't have to take a fresh appointment. my uncle and aunt ha forgot to take their receipts to the consulate last week, but the VFS guys asked them to get a fresh dds within couple of hours and come back. So i don't think u have to take a new appt..
