Hello everybody,
My husband's H1B and my H4 just got renewed for another 3 years (until 2020) and we now need to get the re-stamping done. Our current visa expires on 19th November, 2017. I will be flying back to Pune by end of November but my husband will come a month later. We will be applying to the Mumbai Consulate. We have all the required documentation. I have also recently been granted my H4 EAD; thereby giving me my own I797a. Would i be required to submit this along with my husband's I797 for reference, or would i only need his I797?
Would i be able to avail of the "Dropbox" facility by myself or would the main H1B applicant have to apply in order to avail this? Can anyone please guide me about this if you have any experience. Also, how long does the dropbox facility take on average until you have your stamped passport in hand? Has anyone applied for the Dropbox facility from Pune? Any recent experiences will really help give me an insight into what i can expect and how i can prepare myself fully.
