  • Chennai Visa Stamping 221g blue slip

    Hello All,

I came to India on Sept 14th due to family emergency (Father Passed away) with my I-797 (Expiring on Nov/1/2017).
I had visa stamping interview on Sept 21st,2017 and consulate returned my passport with 221g blue slip. In the mean time My employer had applied for my H1B extension/amendment on Aug 27th, 2017.
Since my application was under Administrative processing and I-797 was expiring i applied for withdraw and got a reply from Consulate saying 'Your case has been closed, Please note that it is not necessary to make a new application. You may submit scanned copy of the renewed petition to chennaiH&[email protected], provided the renewed petition is through the same petitioner'

As of now my H1B has been approved, waiting for the copy of approval form from my employer lawyer.
Currently i requested my client a client letter and received a client letter (I didn't had when i went for the visa stamping on 21st)

    Question to you guys,

Should i send an email with my approved I-797 copy to chennai consulate and wait for the outcome?
Or, Should i fill new DS-160 and take an appointment in Chennai?

Please let me know ASAP based on your experience.

    Thanks in Advance
