I'm wondering if I'd be eligible for H1B extension with employerB if my GC application was with employerA?
Coz if I switched to companyB in year 6 of H1B, there's no way I could start another GC application and qualify with the "365 days" rule..
(The rule says that you can get extension if you have a green card application started more than 365 days previous)
The stage I'm at in the GC process is - waiting for my "priority date" for adjustment of status..
I'm guessing the answer is that the GC application would cease to exist once I changed employers.. (and therefore wouldnt be eligible for extension with employerB)
But hoping somebody will tell me otherwise...?
