H4 to H1 COS

My wife is in H1B visa now and its going to be expired in November 2017 end and her employer has already submitted the H1B extension. Now we are planning to apply H4 (cos from H1B to H4) for her due to personal reasons. Is it possible to change her status again from H4 to H1B with same H1 petition in future? or do we need to apply fresh H1 at that time ?
Note: She has completed 1 year on her H1B.

Yes its possible to use the same H1 petition. They call it recapture. A change of status from H4 to H1 should be filed by a company.
