I'm currently employed with company 'A' in US. I'm going for my H1 stamping to Bombay. I was previously employed with another company 'B' and got my H-1 transfer to 'A'. I have all the orignial documents (H1 approval, LCA, I-129) from my current employer 'A'. However, I just have the photocopy of my previous H1 approval notice from employer 'B'. Do I need to have the original previous employer H1 aprroval and LCA when I go for stamping. This will be my 1st time H1 stamping on the passport. Previously, I was on students visa. Please let me know. Thanks in advance,

Tesh,
I am in the same boat as you are. I asked my friend who had a similar case, he got his visa stamped from Chennai last year. He said that they never asked for his old I797 during the interview.
I don't think you need to mail old I797 docs to the consulate, they may get confused.
Have you already scheduled your appointment and submitted documents?
I am also planning to go there this year.
BTW, is H1 transfer a blanket petition? I noticed it on the VFS website and was not sure if it's applicable in our case.
I would appreciate if you could post any new information on this query.
Thanks.
