Change to new employer while H1B transfer (i 485) is still pending and I 9 is signed

Hi ,

Can I switch to new employer while my client will remain same when I have my H1B transfer case (I485) is pending with USCIS and I have joined (Signed I 9) my current employer as contractor. My H1b transfer petition is pending for more than 180 days?
