I successfully generated the Dropbox confirmation letter and noticed the passport number is incorrect in the dropbox letter(whereas the details in the DS160 confirmation page is fine). The customer care mentioned they cannot rectify the passport number if it is already tagged to a receipt number and asked me to go ahead with the dropbox and mention the discrepancy to the dropbox agent and he should be able to take care of this.
Is it advisable to use a new profile to fill in the details again, pay the fees and generate the dropbox letter once again with the right details ?
Did anyone encounter such a situation and can recommend the best path forward, Your time is truly appreciated.
