Hello All,
I work as a full time employee in US for a US based company. I was interviewed with the company in October 2016 and accepted their offer then. The company filed H1-B petition on my behalf this April and it was approved. But my join date with the company was in May 2017.
I came to India on an emergency this December 1st week and should go back in January 1st week. Though I am from Andhra Pradesh, the earliest visa slot that I could get is at Calcutta on December 22nd. I am now worried about 2 things.
1. How should I answer the VO if he/she asks about my visa petition even before I joined the company?
2. How should I answer the VO if he/she asks why I booked for visa interview at Calcutta, when there is a consular office at Hyderabad?
Please provide your suggestions.
