We are traveling to India via Dubai in December. We have a 23 hour layover and planning to go out of the airport and see the city. I am on H1b visa and my wife is on H4. I have heard that UAE has started issuing visas on arrival to Indian citizens with a valid US visa. On the Emirates website it says this:
"As of May 1, 2017, Indian nationals holding a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months from the arrival date and a visit visa or green card issued by the USA valid for a minimum of six months can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days for a charge of AED120 (subject to change). They can apply to extend their stay for an additional 14 days for AED250 (subject to change)."
It says it is applicable to people who has US "visit visa" so I am assuming that H1/H4 is applicable too. I just wanted to make sure if that's true and if anyone has had experience getting visa on arrival while on H1b.
