I was working on H1B and resigned my job recently. I am planning to leave to India for a vacation and get change of status to H4 with stamping from India. There are 12 days between my last day of work and departure from USA. Do I have to apply for change of status (H1B to H4) now or is it okay to go for H4 visa stamping in India? My employer has sent the notice to withdraw my H1b as of my last date. And I am not sure if it was already withdrawn or still in process.
