Hi,
I traveled to India on Dec 29th with my elder son (7 years old). My wife and my younger one still is in US. I came to see my parents who are old.
My timeline:
Jan 2: Dropped all documents in Dropbox at chennai.
Jan 5 - Administrative processing
Jan 8: 4pm - passport ready for pickup. CEAC status Administrative processing
Jan 9 - As expected green slip when picked up passport requesting to appear for interview. But there was a hand written note saying 'Both parents must be present with 3 passports (mon, dad and kid)'. My wife is in US. I am not sure how to proceed? VFC people were not of much help. I dont know how to contact chennai consulate. AFAIK one parent accompanying kid is recommended. Not sure why the note said both parents must be present. Any suggestion on how to proceed?
