H1B visa transfer approved but need to go to India and re-stamp my visa
Hi friends,
Currently I am working for company ABC. My H1B visa got expired on Oct 2017 and I received extension (I-797) with validity till June 2020.
Six months ago company XYZ applied for my visa transfer which is approved recently.
I need to go to India on March 2018 for some reason. Since I must re-stamp my visa, I have some queries --
1. Can I re-stamp my visa with my current employer's (ABC) I-797, come back to US and then join company XYZ?
2. Does XYZ's I-797 still remain valid or I need to apply for amendment or a fresh visa transfer again?
