Can I travel on H1 without letting my Employer know

Hi Folks,

I have a stamped H1 Visa for Employer1. I was working in USA for a client, but my project ended and had to return back to India.
I started applying for jobs in USA and got telephonic interview cracked for Employer2. But they want me to visit their office in USA for an onsite interview.
Can I travel for interview without letting my current Employer1 know about it? What are risk factors?
