  • H1B grace period n Validity of status

If i am to lose my job in March 1st 2018 n i m getting 2 months severance pay till Apr end, does that mean I’m still an employee till Apr end or I’m not an employee after Mar 1st.(company is planning to revoke h1b immediately )

My passport has a H1B stamp valid till September 2018, but I got h1 b amended due to my title change and have a new 797 valid till Aug 2019

will my grace period be 60 days from Mar 1st or 60 days from May 1st or since I have h1 b valid till Aug 2019 do I still have time till Aug 2019 to find a job n stay legally?

    TIA..

Severance pay does not equal employment. if they're revoking your h1b immediately then that means you are not only no longer employed but no longer authorized to work in the US and will have to return to your home country to avoid incurring days of unlawful presence.
