I work in the US for the last 7+ years. I got my I-140 approved.
I got a new offer. The new employer promise to transfer the H1B, but says the GC transfer process can be initiated only after 2 years.
I am already in the second extension based on I-140. It will be due extending the H1B visa again before end of next two years.
What would be possible issues with delaying the GC transfer for two years?
Will the priority date be retained if not transferred for 2 years?
