H4 visa denied for 8 year old stepchild
Hi!
My spouse and stepson had their H4 visa interview on 2/28/17. My spouse was approved but my stepson got denied. Their reason was because I (the principal sponsor/H1B holder) am not related to him. Anyone with the same issue? I cannot understand why since according to the immigration law, a stepchild has the same right as a biological child except that he/she cannot go for citizenship.
