We are currently in US and Me & my wife, both of us have approved H1s from our respective employers , I received my I-140 approval and would like to change her status from H1 to H4 EAD. I would like to know what are the best and fastest options to do so .
She already has an approved H4 Petition which has same validity as my H1 ( We got this approved before her H1 was approved )
I need your kind assistance for below questions.
1. I was told that she can travel to INDIA and get the VISA stamped using the approved H4 . Any other specific documentation to change the status is required ? Or is it same as a regular H4 Stamping ?
2. Is it possible to initiate H4 EAD before H4 is stamped ?
3. How good an option is it move from H1 to H4 from US itself . Any challenges in doing so ?
Note : My wife's employer is a private consultancy and hasn't run her payroll for the two months or so because she didn't have any project
