How many number of H1B available as of Today ?

I have recently graduated with MS Degree.

Consulting firms which are calling me, are warning that H1B general quota for this (2006) year is finishing this June (2006). So they are asking me to file H1B ASAP thru them.

Where can I find how many general quota H1B seats are still available for this year's filing, as of today?

Where can I find number of H1B's seats available thru students' quota as of today?

And about : Any approximate estimate wbout finishing date when all cap is reached ?

They are right

If you are considering filing your H1B this year then act really fast. Your employer is not bluffing. The quota will be over anytime from now without any warning. Check your employers credentials and go for it.

Believe it or not, last year my petition was filed on August 9th and the quota was over on Aug 10th.. I was lucky by 1 day, or else I would had to wait for one more year. I am not scaring you, just making you aware that its a marathon. Lots of people vying for the same race.

Ad for me, I am currently stuck in UK, waiting for a decision from the London Embassy to stamp my visa. I was told to wait under section 221g so that they can do some extra checks on my employer before issuing me a visa. Hope this helps.
