Hello,
I am a professor and hold an H1-B visa. Over the summer, professors have three months where they are not paid by the university and do not have any duties there, so I am going to go to another country to do research. I want to return to the US in the summer to attend an academic conference. I will attend the conference and then return to the other country. I will remain employed by my US university.
I am confused about whether I can enter the US using the H1-B visa for this conference. I thought I should get an ESTA, but the website says that holders of visas do not need an ESTA.
Does anyone have any advice please?
Thank you.
