My wife needs to send her passport 6 months aftre Admin processing.

What do we need to fill the answer to the question

Have you ever been refused a US Visa before.

My wife went to Consulate about 4 times now. She was issued 221g 3 times and one time she was asked to reapply.

Does a 221(g) need to be counted as a refusal. Is a reapplication considered as a refusal.

Pls advise !!

221g is not refusal. its additional information requirement.
so u can fill as No in ds-156 in refusal column

i think it is yes because we can see 221(g) clause under refusal information in the chennai us consulate website.check it.

Yes, 221g is refusal and you need to provide all detail in DS-156.

I have a question. Your wife was asked to send her passport and draft to embassy after 6 months as her case was in 221g. Have they asked her to submit fresh DS156 and DS157??? Havent you provided them in the first place itself during the interview why again??

I dont know why they asked us to do it again but they have mentioned that in the e-mail we received. I have already submitted 156, 157 saying that the Visa has never been refused before under the premise that 221g is not refusal. I need to see what the outcome is going to be?
