Hi,
Recently I filed for a new H1B petition under cap-exempt in March-2018 from India after my H1B extension (into 7th year after I140 approved) was denied in Jan-2018. This new petition is approved in April-18 and valid until only July-2018.
My company is asking me to go for stamping and travel (If approved) and then file for extension after reaching US. I have scheduled for visa stamping on 15th June and remaining duration on the petition will be 1.5 months at the time of stamping.
Please let me know if going for stamping with such a short period petition validity is OK ? will there be any questions as to why I am travelling for such a short duration? What Kind of questions are expected? What extra documents should I carry? Also will there be any problem during POE? Please let me know if anyone gone through the same situation.
Any advice/suggestion in this regard, would be highly appreciated.
Thank you!.
