Question regarding I-94 extension

Hi Everyone,

A friend of mine had applied for his H1B extension in premium mode. After a week of applying, he had to send his wife and daughter to India due to which their I-94 status has changed. He has got his approval for all 3 of them (including himself) last week, but his family is in India. His I-94 has got extended by default along with the H1B extension (please correct me if I am wrong), but his family members has a different case. What can be done in this case? Will they be given a new I-94 now when they come back? Will it cause any issue? He has plans to travel to India to bring them back in July. What should he watch out for?

Yes they will get a new I94 upon entry, and for that matter so does he.
