Traveling on H1-B between employments.

Hi,
I have accepted a new employment which starts end of August.
I wanted to quit my present work place in 2 weeks and then travel the world and also visit my family in India before I re-join.

Can i use the current H1-B stamp in passport (valid until June 2020) and the new I-797?
What are the risks/restrictions that I may have while re-entering?
