I recently changed from H1B to O1, and also changed my O1 to a new employer.
I have an expired H1B stamp in my passport(expired April 2018). I intend to travel out of the country - and am considering going to Canada and India at different points in the next few months.
a. Is it risky to go to Canada for my stamping - as compared to my home country?
b. If I go to India, am I eligible for the visa interview waiver and use the dropbox? http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-visarenew.asp
as per the above, would I be eligible to visa interview waiver because of this clause in the ustraveldocs website? (applying in a new class O1, and prior visa H1B expired within the last 12 months).
"If I am applying for any other class of visa, my prior visa in the same class is still valid or expired within the last 12 months."
