Under review- Mail from Consulate pls reply

Hi All

My case is under AAP and when i enquired abt my status i got a mail from consulate saying that my case is under review. When i enquired in DOS in USA they informed me my case has updated and sent it to chennai consulte.

Now intial staage of AAP is done,they informed me that they are reviwing the case?

How long it will take to complete the review and what they will do in review.

Can anybody faced problem like this.

Senior memebers pls reply.

Hey even u got under review? Kindly clarify.

DOS is Department of State. Its in USA. If u have friends in usa or ur attorney may call and enquire abt the status.

Dear Abhitha,

I got the same query AAP at Americal Consulate General, Chennai.

Intially i have tried over phone to the consualte. Always sometimes voice respone and sometimes the person is contacting and without listening to me properly, he is connecting to the other person (VO). And even they are not giving the proper reason, but simply they are answering that your case is under processing, and there is no time frame for that, and once that was cleared ( i.e, Additional Administrative Processing) then they will be contacting me. Thats what they says.

And i am not able to get the right information in this regard. And i have already informed to my US Employer regarding this. And it is almost close to 5 months after i sent my H1B Documents through VFS Drop box from VFS, Hyd.

And i have received back my passport and Visa issuance Fee 2300/- from the consualte, chennai through VFS Regional Center, Mumbai. And even i did not received anything else (that is Query sheet) except Passport and Visa Issuance Fee HDFC DD.

Friends, what they do in this review process, what could be the reason for it. Wether, this query is on experience, education or on US Employer. What they are looking for in this regard,

Cos, whatever the VO asked me to submit, i sent all to the consulate as per instructions. But still why it has happen, i can't imagine and as i am new to this process.

What are the chances of getting visa after this query.

Which is the best way to solve it. To whom i should approch.

I heared recently one of my friend got the visa after AAP. Consulate VO asked him to submit his Passport and Visa Issuance Fee. Then he got his H1B visa.

Once i meet him, i can get clear idea about that.

Hi Abitha,

AAP means (Additional Adminstrate Process) required..for this they might start from petition company in US are from current employer in india..Once it is done your application will be review again...If everything is fine you will be issue the visa in couple of days...

Keep send mail to US Consulate for updates !!!!

Sorry but I dont think so. The time taken may still be long. I know it is frustarting. Try to contact your local congressman and describe your situation !

221g in London

Hi Abita,

I'd received a 221g on Mar 24, so its 2.5 months now. They said they want to verify the credentials of my employer. Basically a employer check. I haven't heard anything from them so far. Is it worthwhile to email/post/call them to find out the status, Or can it fire back in a negative way.
My case has been very very unfortunate as my student visas were also denied twice in 2003. I am not sure after waiting for so long they'll offer me a visa or deny again. Please throw some light.

AAP takes time. Even mine also 2.5.

Some people are waiting for even 6months to 9 months.

The process ll take time. Once its completed they ll get back to u. U can send them mail instead of calling coz for phone call people are not responding.

Wait with confidence and pray well.

Soon we all ll be out of this problem.
