Hi, I think I am in an unique situation and so I seeking for help/advice.
I did my masters in here in the US and am currently on STEM OPT cap gap. Last week I received my H1B approval notice ( it was filed as a COS so that I would be eligible for cap gap extension). However, I will be joining MIT Sloan for full-time MBA in this Sept. I have two questions in this regard.
1) If I quit my job and apply for F1 transfer to MIT now, will my visa status change to H1b on October 1st (because of COS) ? If so, do I have to visit the US visa centre in my home country to revert to F1 ? What if I am not in the US on Oct 1st (skip classes just for that day) to avoid the transfer? Will I continue on F1 when I reenter US ?
2) Post MBA, can I use my currently approved H1b application for employment or should my new employer file a new petition on my behalf ? Will I then be re-subjected to H1b cap?
