I 797 Form not returned after H1B Visa Interview
Hi All,
I have attended my H1B Visa interview this month and during the interview the interviewer took my I-797 approval notice and didnt give it back. ( My visa was approved)
I realized this after getting home and called the numbers provided by the consulate and they said i would get my I 797 along with my passport, after 5 days i received my passport and no I 797 form was in the mail.
However i had to travel back to the states and i contacted my company immigration attorney and he suggested i can travel with a copy of I 797 and i did come back to the states and how ever the POE stopped me for 5 mins asking about the original form and i explained the same as above and they said i am good to go.
Now i am in the states but i dont have my 797 copy, how do i get it back ? or should i apply for a duplicate ? which is a better option here
