Need help ( H1b extension query )

Hi,

I worked for 6 months in US on H1b visa and then returned to India.Recently I lost my passport and then applied for new passport.

I got the new Passport.But I didn't inform the US consulate about losting my passport which has H1b stamping.

are there any issues will I face when I proceed for the renewal of H1b visa without informing that lost the former passport.
