I have an approved US visa till April 2020 but that is yet to be stamped on my passport. My passport is set to expire on August 27, 2019 and I am traveling to India on September 21, 2018. At the time I go for my stamping it will have 11 months from the date of expiration. I want to know if the stamping process has any specific set of timelines in terms of your passport getting expired while you go for stamping. I have heard some people saying that it should have 6 months from the date of expiration when you go for stamping while the others say 12 months. Can someone please confirm?
