my background:

i did a masters in US. Was briefly back in India and went back to US on B1 (company A). while in US on B1 i got it converted to H1 (company B) and was working for company B.

I had to come to INDIA for a family emergency (my father passed away).

Now my question is will I be eligible for an emergency appointment even though this will be my first H1 stamping.
