L1 to F1

i am on L1. I intend to join school in fall 2007. By then I would complete 5 years in L1 visa. I understand F1 would be for 2 years with additional 1 year for OPT. If I continue to stay, it would be 8 years [5 on L1, 2 on F1 and 1 on OPT]. Thereafter will I be eligible for H1. I would like to know how maximum number of years will apply in my case. Thanks much.

After completing study, you have to be out of the country for one year minimum before you can be eligeble for H visa.
